Last time I went there I was surprised by the fridge noise, how can the guy handle this all day. What does the presence of this permanent sound means for shop owner, how does it influence his mind? Ce Loom décrit comment transformer un son de frigo en paysage sonore en ajoutant progressivement des layers audio. L’auteur isole d’abord des sons d’eau puis remarque que le son du frigo évoque aussi des cigales, avant d’ajouter des criquets à la même fréquence pour faire évoluer le rendu. Il passe ensuite à des sons binauraux avec de gros drones indiens, en ciblant une fréquence centrée autour de 100 Hz et 10 kHz, puis en enregistrant sa voix pour la même approche.
